Anvils are as massive as is practical, because the higher their inertia, the more efficiently they cause the energy of striking tools to be transferred to the work piece. In most cases the anvil is used as a forging tool. Before the advent of modern welding technology, it was a primary tool of metal workers.
Made of 6150 alloy steel with a surface hardness of 56 to 60HRC.
Using through hardening, also known as neutral hardening, which is the process of strengthening a steel alloy using a rapid quench for increased hardness throughout the material.
Has great bounce, smooth face and nice edges. Can be shipped out at any time.
