This Hofi-style Czech hammer is a cross-pein hammer with a unique balance that you can only get from this style. While these hammers can go by many names, these specifically carry the Blacksmiths Depot brand.
Unlike other hammers, these are not made in small batches with inconsistent forging processes and heat treatment. Plus, they are at a better price here, too.
**Head Only, may have remnants of wood or epoxy from previous handle installation**
The Czech hammers set includes both 2 & 3 lb. hammers.
Face size approx:
- 2 lb. = 1.75" square
- 3 lb. = 1.95" square
Similar to a Hofi hammer with a Hofi-style handle, round safety wedge, & seal.

Excellent hammer at any price

I’ve had the two hundred dollar models and they were surely pretty. But functionally this hammer is everything I need to work accurately and efficiently. No issues at all. Hardness is spot on for this profession. Though I don’t know what alloy was used, I suspect the other mechanical properties such as toughness and malleability are similarly appropriate for its use.
