77 pounds is just right for many situations.  While many feel 77 lbs. is too light, it isnt if you are moving it a bunch and only use it for smaller forging.. Theoretically you would have to be using a 1.5 lb. hammer or smaller to get the most out of the rebound but portability may be important. Great for demonstations and craft fairs and a little easier on the on the wallet too.
When you buy a Kanca anvil your buying one of the best and its forged.  Your not paying for the name either.  Except for the name its identical to the Durlach (Peddinghaus Handwerks) Anvil.
Finish on curved working surfaces of  Anvils (Horns) MAY require final finishing and polishing by Master Blacksmith if desired.
