The Blacksmiths Depot economy line of tongs come from the same factory as other names like Tom Tongs. Other than the labeling they are identical.
Some of their features include:
- Balls on end of Reins (except heavy duty bolt)
- Cast Steel
- Length is for reins only
- All economy products have black oxide coating
- Economy tongs are cast with greater tolerances
- Distance between reins may be much greater than other brands
Greater tolerance means that they will hold the intended size but might not be as comfortable to hold, visually correct and jaws may not be matched as well.
