White Mountain Flux is truly a knifemaker's best friend.
This knife-making flux was developed specifically for forge welding Damascus steel and ornamental iron. It ensures a very clean finish and a very low amount of scale.
White Mountain Flux is popular when forging Damascus billets because it does not contain small iron elements. These elements are present in some other flux products which can cause visible inclusion imperfections in finely crafted detail work. The lack of iron elements also means it will work well in any forge.
