Tired of that old cutter style, try one of these clinch cutters. This Jim Poor tool fits easily in your hand, works for the left or right handed farrier. Made from shock resistant tool steel (S7), heat treated to a RC35 on the striking surface, and RC55 on the cutting end. Since the striking surface is softer, farriers won't be ruining their favorite driving hammer just to brake clinches.

I forge knives from 1095 high carbon and D2 tool steel. The first time I used this tool I was shocked at how easily and deeply it cut into the tool steel. The right angle design makes it much easier to use than the straight cutter that I had been using. I love it.
