This Jim Poor hammer is great for farriers working on for those big clips that you may want on the handmade aluminum shoes and an abundance of other occasions.
Jim Poor Texas Ball Clipping hammers is approx 1.75 lb. They are made of 4140 alloy steel and are hardened on the Striking surfaces of the hammer. The body of the hammer is slightly softer, which absorbs some of the vibration caused when the hammer strikes another object.
Jim Poor Clipping Hammers are perfectly balanced. They are the same weight on the peen side as on the flat side. This is what keeps the hammer from wanting to twist in your hand.
