The Clipping Hammer usually has a hemispherical shape for striking punches and precise control when drawing clips.
Jim Poor quality here as usual but with a little bit of specialty in this particular hammer style. Not many clipping hammers are designed to move such an amout of material. Good for those big clips that you may want on the handmade aluminum shoes and an adundance of other occasions.
These clipping hammers are available in 1.75 lb., and 2 lb. They are made of 4140 alloy steel and are hardened on the Striking surfaces of the hammer. The body of the hammer is slightly softer, which absorbs some of the vibration caused when the hammer strikes another object.
Flatland Forges Clipping Hammers are perfectly balanced. By balanced, we mean, they are the same weight on the pien side as on the flat side. This is what keeps the hammer from wanting to twist in your hand.
All Jim Poor Hammers have a 15" handle
