This stake anvil, or bickern, is designed for lighter work requiring precision. The anvil has a conical unfinshed horn with shift axis, as well as a relatively long and narrow face which transforms into the pyramid shape. The central part of the face is placed in the axis of the anvil high body. That is why it perfectly absorbs impact energy. The shape of the base formed on a circle refers to the other anvils we produce. Conical pivot with square cross-section in the base of the blacksmith anvil serves to adjust the anvil to the stump or to the swage block.
These are finished for use in forging not jewelry.
